The mental health crisis of today’s youth is at an all-time high, and school social workers play a vital role to help address the emotional well-being of these youth. Covid and many other variables have made youth more stressed , more anxious, and created major academic struggles. . This session will focus on specific diagnoses that are being displayed in the classroom. It will provide tools and interventions to address various diagnoses as well as focus on social and emotional learning. This session will also address the topic of suicide prevention. Participants will learn about trauma and the implications that it has on academic success, relationships and general well-being. Participants will also be given activities that can be used for a group setting to address anxiety, depression and self-worth. The goal of this session is for participants to leave feeling that they have more tools in their tool box to support students ( and staff) in the school environment.This webinar is eligible for 1 CEU. To ensure you receive CEUs for this event, please participate using a computer or tablet. Use of cell phones is not recommended. State licensing requirements are different by state; please review your state's requirements and ensure that CEUs offered by an institution of higher education are accepted.
