Mrs Cristina Dobon-Claveau

About

Cristina brings over 20 years of experience in education, with a deep commitment to student wellness, social-emotional learning, and building inclusive school communities. She most recently served as Vice Principal at Dry Creek Elementary in Twin Rivers Unified School District, where, in her first site administrator role, she spent three years growing as an instructional leader — deepening her expertise in school climate, PBIS, student support systems, and teacher coaching while building the collaborative team culture she is known for. Prior to that, she served as Coordinator of Mental Health & Wellness at the Sacramento County Office of Education. Before that, she led the districtwide implementation of Wellness Centers across all eight high schools in Roseville Joint Union High School District, overseeing a multidisciplinary team of Wellness Associates, Specialists, Interns, and Family & Community Engagement Liaisons through an MTSS framework. A proud bilingual educator, Cristina is fluent in Spanish and is passionate about building strong, collaborative teams that put students first.

Cristina holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Minnesota and is completed her Clear Administrative Services Credential through SCOE. She is also a part-time faculty instructor at California State University, Sacramento, where she teaches School Social Work Pupil Personnel Services courses.

When she is not working, Cristina loves spending time with her family and animals. She loves to cook and travel.
